Welcome to The Mountaineer, a custom Appalachian Log Home just off the Blue Ridge Parkway, outside of Boone and Blowing Rock North Carolina.  A private drive leads you to the Mountaineer with a setting in the woods, alongside a beautiful meadow overlooking a large pond. You may want to sharpen up your fishing skills during your stay.

Just 3 miles east of Boone bordering the Blue Ridge Parkway with access at the Bamboo Gap exit at mm 285. It is a short, beautiful drive from there to the quaint village of Blowing Rock with pull offs filled with vista’s, layers of the hills & long range mountain views. Although private in location & setting, the Mountaineer is also a 5-10 minute convenient drive from Boone golf club, the Boone airport, Watauga Medical Center, Appalachian Ski Mountain, Tweetsie Railroad & much, much more.

The Mountaineer including the “Rock Bottom” lower level has 4 Bedrooms, 3 baths on  3 floors and can sleep up to 14 adults.  A special feature of this cabin is that it offers 2 kitchens 2 master suites, 2 hot tubs on different levels, and 2 rock fireplaces with gas logs.  Central heat and air is there if needed.  Board Games, Direct TV, Flat Screens, DVDs and much more.

Situated on 25 acres you can walk, hike and explore, fish,  relax by the campfire pits, play horseshoes and basketball on the property.  Sit back on nearly 1400 sf of covered deck full of chairs, table’s and a stainless gas grill.  Step back inside to a fully stocked kitchen with everything you need with granite counter top, slate and hardwood floor.  Open floor plan with exposed fir beams and tasteful decor. Fall in love all over again with peace and quiet,  nature’s beauty and that fresh Mountain Air.
